Who is the Antichrist? There are many opinions and popular beliefs as to who the identity of the Antichrist is. Let’s take a look at some of the more popular opinions about who this Antichrist power is. There is Caesar Nero, Antiochus Epiphanies, Bill Gates, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Jr., Bill Clinton, President Barack Obama, Saddam Hussein, Prince Charles, Vladimir Putin, Fidel Castro and David Hasselhoff. Probably the most entertaining out of all of those candidates has to be David Hasselhoff.
In the full presentation of this topic, the real identity of the Antichrist is unveiled. What you will learn about the identity of the Antichrist may be disturbing to you, but it is straight out of the Bible, and God wants us to know who it is so that we won’t be deceived.
Revelation 14:9, 10
This has got to be the most awful, solemn warning ever given in Scripture, and it is against receiving the mark of the beast. It says that those who do receive the mark of the beast will receive the wine of God’s wrath (which is the seven last plagues, Revelation 15:1) and will eventually be cast into hellfire.
In the last warning given to earth, in the messages of the three angels of Revelation 14, the first angel says “worship the Creator.” And then the third angel says, “do not worship the beast.” This is a very sensitive issue. Some of the bloodiest wars have been fought over the issue of worship, and it is worship that we see is the going to be the central issue in these last days.
God identifies many things in the book of Revelation, and sometimes they’re sensitive. He identifies certain churches, certain movements, certain kingdoms, and certain leaders. And since this message that God has given in Revelation chapter 14 in the third angel’s message is so solemn and so serious, He would not warn us so sternly in one place and then leave us only to guess at who this Antichrist power is. We don’t serve a God like that. He would make it clear so that we can know how to avoid this power. God is a God of love, and therefore, He makes it clear in the Scriptures who this Antichrist and who this beast power is.
The Bible gives us 12 identifying points that you can gather as you read through Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 that clearly tell us who the Antichrist power is.
Several of these key identifying marks are that the Antichrist:
1. Comes out of Europe.
2. It must come up after A.D. 476, after the fall of the Roman Empire.
3. Speaks blasphemies against God.
4. Persecutes God’s people.
As you read the description of the little horn in Daniel 7, it is clear that it is the same power as the first beast of Revelation chapter 13. We’re going to see that they both do the same things. Both the little horn of Daniel 7 and the beast of Revelation 13 are the same Antichrist power.
Now God does not outright name in the Bible who this little horn literally is, otherwise everyone would know who it is. So God gives us 12 identifying marks that clearly tell us who the Antichrist is. When you understand even just the first 10 of these identifying marks, the identity is inescapable. God has done just about everything except tell us who this is. There is only one system, only one power that meets all of these identifying marks perfectly, and that is none other than…
